Melissa Mathis
Hi, I am so glad that you are here! As a therapist I believe in creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. My approach is person-centered, warm, and easy-going. I believe therapy should feel like a safe partnership, where you can explore life’s challenges without judgment.
I utilize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help individuals work through trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and self-esteem concerns. My goal is to empower clients to find clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of self.

About Melissa
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha . With a foundation rooted in social work values, I bring a holistic perspective to therapy. A perspective that considers not just individual mental health, but also the impact of relationships, community, and environment. This lens allows me to support clients in a compassionate, strengths-based way that honors their full lived experience.
Outside the therapy space, you can find me in the kitchen baking, attending concerts, spending quality time with my husband, or enjoying the outdoors with our dog. I believe that the small joys in life help us stay grounded and connected and I bring that belief into my work with clients every day.
