Aish Ganapathy

I’m a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Lincoln, Nebraska.

As an immigrant and woman of color originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I understand how complex it can feel to carry multiple identities, cultural expectations, and a longing to belong. I bring that lived experience into the therapy room to create a space that feels safe, inclusive, and genuinely respectful of who you are.

To me, therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about creating space for the parts of you that feel unheard, overwhelmed, or forgotten. I see therapy as a place to slow down and gently explore your inner world, with curiosity and care. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. Just a chance to be fully seen, to start making sense of what’s been heavy, and to feel a little more like yourself again. I show up as a real person in the room with you—warm, compassionate, and committed to walking alongside you.

About Aish

I help emotionally sensitive individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or like they’re constantly in survival mode. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, people-pleasing, or identity struggles, we work together to slow down and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and expressive arts therapy—tools that allow us to work with your inner world with curiosity and compassion.

I especially enjoy working with people of color and adult children of immigrants who often carry invisible burdens—like perfectionism, self-doubt, or the pressure to always hold it together. Therapy with me is a space to lay some of that down and begin to reconnect with yourself on your own terms.

Outside of therapy, I’m someone who deeply values creativity, connection, and rest. I love cooking for the people I care about, watching Marvel movies, and spending time with my dog, Olive. You can often find me dreaming up home projects, making art, or planning my next trip. I’m also drawn to learning about spirituality, energy, and emotional healing in ways that are grounded, curious, and accessible.
